OSRS Services Discord: How to Identify Trusted Communities

What a legitimate OSRS services Discord looks like from the inside, the specific red flags worth leaving over, and why the server structure itself tells you most of what you need to know.
The Short Answer
Judge a services Discord by its structure, not its member count. A server built for accountability has tickets, public reviews you cannot edit, visible staff roles, and a written policy you can read before you talk to anyone. A server built for volume has DMs.
The single most useful test: try to find out what happens if something goes wrong, without asking. If a server cannot answer that from its own channels, that is the answer.
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| The best signal | Order tickets instead of DMs |
| The worst signal | Being asked for credentials in a direct message |
| What member count tells you | Very little — it is the easiest number to inflate |
| Public reputation | Should exist off their own platform, where they cannot edit it |
| Our Discord | discord.gg/bils, with live chat on the site synced to it |
| Our public reputation | Trustpilot, currently a TrustScore of 4.6, and Sythe vouches |

Read the Structure Before You Read the Sales Pitch
A Discord's channel layout is a design document for how the business works. You can learn more in two minutes of scrolling the channel list than in twenty minutes of conversation.
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| A ticket system for orders | Orders are tracked and there is a record. This is the single best signal |
| A reviews channel where customers post, and staff cannot delete | They expect to be judged in public |
| Clear staff roles with names attached | You know who you are dealing with |
| Written terms or rules pinned somewhere | There is a policy, so disputes have a reference point |
| Only a general chat and 'DM the owner' | Nothing is recorded, and nothing is accountable |
| Reviews that are all recent and all identical | Manufactured, and the effort spent manufacturing them tells you something |
| No mention of what happens if an order fails | The most important question is the one they have not answered |

The Red Flags Worth Leaving Over
Not warnings — reasons to close the tab. Each of these has a specific failure behind it.
- Asked for your password in a DM. Credentials belong in a traceable order channel and nowhere else
- A no-ban guarantee. Nobody controls Jagex's decisions, so this is always false, and a provider willing to say it will say anything
- Pressure to pay outside their normal checkout, which removes every trace of the transaction
- Prices far below everyone else, which almost always means a script rather than a person
- No written terms, or terms that contradict what you were told in chat
- Reviews only on their own server, where they control what stays up
- Vagueness about whether the work is automated when you ask directly
- Staff who cannot tell you what happens if the order fails
The Questions Worth Asking Out Loud
Ask these in a public channel rather than a DM. How they answer, and whether they mind being asked in public, is as informative as the answers.
| Ask | A good answer |
|---|---|
| Do you use bots or scripts? | A direct no, backed by a written statement on their own site |
| Where do order details go? | A ticket tied to the order, never a DM |
| What is your refund position? | A specific rule, not a promise of general goodwill |
| What do you not cover? | An honest list. Anyone claiming to cover bans is not reading their own terms |
| Where can I read reviews you cannot edit? | A third-party platform |
| Who will be playing my account? | A team they can describe, working somewhere they can describe |

For us: no automation, stated in our terms; orders run through a ticket created at checkout; full payment before start with a 15% fee if you cancel beforehand; we do not cover bans, mutes, rollbacks or hardcore deaths; our reputation is on Trustpilot and Sythe; and the team has worked from one office since 2018.
How Ours Is Set Up
Not as a boast — as a worked example of the structure described above, so you have something concrete to compare other servers against.
- Orders create a support ticket at checkout on the site, which is where scope and credentials live
- Live chat on the site is synced with our Discord, so you get the same team whichever you use, around the clock
- Our Discord is at discord.gg/bils, with a dedicated feedback channel
- GIM items are handled through a GIM shop ticket rather than a DM conversation
- Reviews live on our own reviews page and on Trustpilot, where we cannot remove them, and reviewers can tag whether they used a regular or express order
- Terms, privacy and FAQ are all public pages you can read before speaking to anyone
The point of listing that is that every item is checkable without our involvement. That is the property to look for in any server, ours included.
Vetting a Server in Five Minutes
Do this before you post a single message.
- Scroll the channel list and look for a ticket system
- Open the reviews channel and check whether the reviews look like real people with different accounts and dates
- Find the pinned rules or terms, and read what they say about refunds and liability
- Search the server name on a third-party platform and read what comes back
- Ask in a public channel whether the work is automated and what they do not cover
- Check whether anyone DMs you unprompted after you post — a good sign of a server with impersonators
- Only then start an order, and only through their ticket system
If a server fails at step one or step three, the remaining steps are not worth your time.
Staying Safe in Any Services Community
These hold regardless of which provider you choose, including if it is not us.
| Risk | How it is handled |
|---|---|
| Never share credentials in a DM | Impersonating a staff member costs nothing. A ticket is tied to your actual order; a DM is tied to nothing. |
| Never pay outside the normal checkout | Off-platform payment removes the record that protects you. |
| Never believe a no-ban guarantee | No provider controls Jagex. Ours states plainly that we do not cover bans, mutes, rollbacks or hardcore deaths. |
| Always read the written terms first | If the written policy and the chat pitch disagree, the written policy is what you will be held to. |
| Always check reputation off-platform | On a platform where the provider cannot delete what they dislike. |
| Always change your password after an order | Whoever you used, and whatever they promised. |

Account sharing is against Jagex's rules with any provider. Choosing well changes your risk profile; it does not change the rule.
FAQ
Does a large Discord mean a service is trustworthy?
No. Member count is the easiest metric to inflate and tells you nothing about how orders are handled. Look for a ticket system and off-platform reviews instead.
Should I ever send my password in a Discord DM?
No, to anybody, ever. Credentials belong in a ticket tied to your order. Impersonating a staff account is trivial, and DM requests are the most common way accounts are lost.
What is the fastest way to spot a scam server?
Look for a no-ban guarantee, pressure to pay off-platform, prices far below everyone else, and reviews that only exist where the provider can delete them. Any one of those is enough.
Where is your Discord?
discord.gg/bils. The live chat on this site is synced with it, so you can use either and reach the same team.
How can I check your reputation independently?
Trustpilot, where we currently show a TrustScore of 4.6, and our Sythe vouches. Both are places we cannot remove what we do not like.
What should I do if someone impersonates your staff?
Do not share anything, and report it in our Discord or in live chat. We only ever discuss order details inside your order ticket.

Bottom Line
Read the channel list, not the sales pitch. A ticket system and reviews the provider cannot delete are worth more than any number of members or any promise in chat.
Two rules with no exceptions: credentials never go in a DM, and payment never goes outside the normal checkout. Almost every loss in this market breaks one of those.
Judge us the same way. Our terms, FAQ, Trustpilot and Sythe vouches are all readable without talking to us first, and that is deliberate.
Prices, turnaround times and game rules change. Ask us in live chat if you need the current position on anything here.
