OSRS Zebak Guide: Waves, Jugs, Blood Magic & Strategy — Bils Services

Zebak guide for waves, jugs, blood magic, and ToA path success.

Overview: Zebak at a Glance

Zebak is a full boss in the raid group, rated 4 out of 5 in our boss index and normally fought solo or team.

Before you can fight Zebak you need Tombs of Amascut.

Jugs and wave reading is what this fight actually asks of you, and it is the thing standing between you and raid points toward ToA uniques.

Its own attacks are melee, ranged and magic, so Protect from Melee, Missiles and Magic all have a job.

In our index it sits in the raid group at difficulty 4 of 5, where kill times come down to jugs and wave reading.

Access Requirements

Zebak is gated behind Tombs of Amascut.

Tombs of Amascut also tends to sit alongside the other raid gates, so it is usually cheaper to clear them together than to come back for each one. The boss requirements checklist lists them by group.

Location and How to Get There

Zebak is fought in the end of the Path of Crondis in the Tombs of Amascut.

Zebak closes the Path of Crondis. He accepted Amascut's offer of endless food in exchange for luring Crondis, which is why the room is built around water.

Where Zebak Sits in Progression

Within the raid group, the fights below Zebak are Muttadiles and Vanguards. Above it sit Great Olm and Verzik Vitur.

Fight Strategy: Jugs and wave reading

  1. Prayers on before you are in range.
  2. Pray Protect from Melee, Missiles and Magic as it switches.
  3. Its lowest defence bonus is against light ammunition.
  4. Eat and reposition inside its 7-tick cycle.
  5. Bank before a 38 can erase you.
  • Jugs solve wave problems
  • Blood magic awareness
  • Ranged/magic comfort helps
  • Invocation creep kills learners

Drops and What Zebak Is Worth

Drops worth the trip: Raid points toward ToA uniques. Whether that is worth your time depends on how many kills an hour you personally get, which is a function of jugs and wave reading rather than of your gear list.

Combat Achievements

Zebak has Combat Achievement tasks. With a 38 max hit the restrictions are mostly about execution rather than survival.

Task lists move with updates — read the current list in game.

Ironman Notes

Without a Grand Exchange, raid points toward ToA uniques has to be earned rather than bought, and this is the fastest table it sits on.

Common Mistakes and Death Causes

  • Ignoring that jugs solve wave problems
  • Ignoring that invocation creep kills learners
  • Buying an upgrade before jugs and wave reading is consistent
  • Gearing for Zebak before finishing Tombs of Amascut
  • Walking in before prayers are on
  • Setting up a cannon it is immune to

FAQ

What do I need to fight Zebak?

Tombs of Amascut

Which protection prayer should I use at Zebak?

It attacks with melee, ranged, magic, so pray against that.

How hard does Zebak hit?

Max hits of 38 (Melee), 16 (Magic), 16 (Ranged), with 580 hitpoints.

Can I use a dwarf multicannon at Zebak?

No. It is immune to cannon damage.

Is Zebak worth doing?

Yes, for what it drops — Raid points toward ToA uniques — if you want that specific reward. It is not a general money maker, and we do not publish a GP per hour figure for it because that number changes with the Grand Exchange.

What kills people at Zebak?

Jugs solve wave problems

Bottom Line

Zebak rewards repetition more than it rewards gear. Once jugs and wave reading stops taking your full attention, the trips get long enough that raid points toward ToA uniques stops feeling far away.

If Zebak is blocking a Combat Achievement or an unlock you actually want, our PvM service is done by hand — no automation. Otherwise the bosses list has the full index.

Zebak — ToA path boss, difficulty 4/5. Combat values here — hitpoints, max hits, attack styles and speed, Defence and Magic levels, immunities and Slayer requirements — were read from the Old School RuneScape Wiki infobox for Zebak on 2026-08-03. Kill rates, GP per hour and item prices are deliberately absent because they move with balance patches and the Grand Exchange.
