OSRS Bosses List: Every Boss, Mini-Boss and Slayer Boss — Bils Services

A complete OSRS boss index grouped by category — beginner, standalone, Slayer, Wilderness, God Wars, DT2, raids, Moons, Gauntlet, skilling, wave challenges and quest bosses, each with its hard requirement and the drop worth farming.

How to Use This Boss Index

This page indexes 97 OSRS bosses, mini-bosses, elite monsters and wave challenges across 15 categories, with 97 of them linked to a dedicated guide. It exists to answer one question quickly: what should I learn next, and what is the actual gate stopping me?

Every row lists the hard requirement — a quest, a Slayer level, a key, or an area unlock — rather than a recommendation. Recommendations belong in the individual guides, because they depend on your gear and your comfort with prayer switching.

The difficulty column is an editorial 1–5 band, not a game statistic. It reflects how punishing a mistake is: a 2 forgives a missed prayer, a 5 usually ends the attempt. Read it as a learning order, not a power level.

  • New to bossing? Start in Beginner bosses, then move through Standalone before touching anything in the Wilderness or a raid.
  • Chasing gear? God Wars Dungeon and Desert Treasure II gate most mid-to-late melee, range and magic upgrades.
  • Chasing a cape? Wave and challenge bosses hold the fire cape, infernal cape and Dizana's quiver.
  • Ironman? Prefer bosses whose drops you cannot buy: Barrows, GWD, Slayer bosses and the skilling bosses.

Beginner bosses (7)

Low requirements, forgiving mechanics and cheap deaths. These are where you learn prayer switching and tick-based movement before anything expensive.

Long single-attempt gauntlets where one mistake ends the run. The capes and quiver from these are the clearest PvM skill signals in the game.

Mini-bosses (1)

A Sane Learning Order

Boss lists are easy to read and hard to act on, so here is the order most accounts actually progress in. Each step assumes you can clear the previous one without checking your inventory every kill.

  1. Scurrius and Giant Mole to learn overhead prayers and safe repositioning.
  2. Barrows for a repeatable, low-risk GP and gear source that punishes sloppy prayer usage cheaply.
  3. Moons of Peril for a mid-game armour set with mechanics that teach reading tells rather than memorising ticks.
  4. God Wars Dungeon generals — start with K'ril Tsutsaroth or General Graardor, which forgive the most.
  5. Zulrah or Vorkath for the first genuinely rotational, gear-switching solo fight.
  6. Chambers of Xeric as a learner, because it is the raid most tolerant of one weak player.
  7. Fight Caves for the fire cape, then Desert Treasure II bosses for endgame gear.
  8. Inferno, Fortis Colosseum, Tombs of Amascut and Theatre of Blood once your prayer switching survives 30+ minutes.

If you get stuck for weeks on one step, the problem is usually supplies or gear, not skill. Read the boss requirements checklist and the boss gear progression guide before you grind the same failure again.

Bottom Line

Use this index as a map, not a to-do list. Pick one boss you can already access, learn it until deaths become rare, then use the requirement column to choose the next unlock. Accounts stall when they jump three difficulty bands at once and blame gear.

If a specific boss is blocking a goal — a cape, a Combat Achievement tier, or an Ironman upgrade — our PvM team can clear it or coach it hand-done. No bots, no shortcuts, and you keep the learning if you want it.

Boss requirements and rewards change with updates. Verify current mechanics and rates on the Old School RuneScape Wiki.
